Village Quy Hoa

Quy Hoa Village/Leprosarium 

Nestled within a seaside valley, the tranquil village, consisting of a few hundred houses, surrounds the Quy Hoa Leprosy Center – Dermatology Hospital. Quy Hoa village dates back to the 1920s during French colonial times. It was operated by Franciscan sisters until 1975 and is located just south of Quy Nhon in Binh Dinh Province. Since Vietnam’s leprosy problem is contained and there is no quarantining of sufferers. The remaining lepers at Quy Hoa are sufferers from long ago.
